Andalucia, with it’s breathtaking scenery, offers many choices for those wishing to do some walking on their holidays. We recognise that many people, when at home, enjoy a Sunday walk as a way of experiencing a bit of outdoor adventure and spending quality time with their families or friends. Holidays are also about quality time together but it can be more difficult here in Spain to get information on local or nearby walks.
You may be an experienced walker or just someone who likes to admire the scenery on foot at a leisurely pace. Either way there is something to suit all abilities and ages.
At Cortijo Los Arroyos Altos you can select the walks that suit you. We will accompany you and we have many pre-planned walks to choose from. Some walks are ‘one way’ and start in one location and finish elsewhere and we will provide transport as necessary. If you do not wish to hire a car we can even collect you from Malaga or Granada airport. As well as scenic routes we also offer ‘sightseeing’ walks. Perhaps a guided walk around Granada - home to the Alhambra Palace or Ronda - with its old and new towns separated by a gorge and joined by the ‘New’ Bridge, also, Malaga - birthplace of Picasso and Antequera with its abundance of churches are just a few. The choices are yours.
Maybe you have always fancied a walking holiday but were a little unsure if you could maintain the pace of a serious walking holiday. Well that’s not a worry here. As you can see from the pictures above our aim is to allow inexperienced walkers, as well as the experienced, to enjoy the beauty of Andalucia. Each walk can be selected to suit the ability of the party.
The Cottage will accommodate up to 6 people and you can view rates and availability by clicking here. If there are more than six in your party there is some excellent accommodation available nearby. You can do as little or as much walking as you please as each walk is priced up separate from the accommodation.
Guided Walking Prices:
All walks include transport, for up to six people, to and from the walk.
Prices can start from as little as €35 for a ½ day walk in and around Archidona. A full day in Granada for example would be from €90 ...... that’s just €15 per head when there are six in the party.
Because each walk is tailored to the ability of the party and will vary in distance and duration, exact prices cannot be given here. But don’t worry, there will be no nasty surprises as once we have had a chance to discuss your holiday requirements with you we will then give you an exact price before you commit to any sort of booking. Even after booking, the walks can be changed if you wish to do so.
